The museum space is loaded with significance. In the past, it has generated a certain number of clichés. The number of venues, their diversity in terms of size, purpose and architecture represented a difficulty that was all the more obvious in that the problem in this case is not that of illustration. On the contrary, nine photographs truly take a stand : Jöel Blondel, Dityvon, Pierre Gac, Christophe Léger, Jean-Pierre Parmentier, Bernard Plossu, Michel Séméniako, Frédéric Schwalek, Michel Vanden Eeckhoudt.
By meeting around such a complex reality, these nine very different perspectives assert photography’s lively ability to transfigure the reality that is its source.
