Transmanche 5 / One Day Trip

A “One Day Trip” is something that many Britons take to the continent in order to benefit from the low prices of certain consumer products. The price of the crossing itself is discounted as well. On the weekend, especially during holiday periods, northern France’s coastal cities see an influx of ferries full of passing, hurried visitors.
Beyond biting anecdotes, it is our relationship with the world, with consumption and with the order of things that gets a rough ride. In fact, let there be no mistake, this work goes far beyond regional idiosyncrasies in order to consider the present and future of our condition as European citizens.
